I would like to tell you how to diagnose and resolve problem when your videoconference terminal (for example TE10, TE20, TE30, TE40, TE50 or TE60) fails to register on Gatekeeper (for example on Switch Center).
Step 1: Check terminal's network connection.
Step 2: Contact the videoconferencing system administrator to check whether another terminal with the same number as your site has already registered on Gatekeeper.
Step 3: Check Gatekeeper address, user name and encryption password on both terminal and Gatekeeper.
Step 4: Check if Gatekeeper listening port, such as port 1719, is restricted by the network firewall.
Step 5: Check the NAT settings.
Checking this information should resolve most of the problems with registration on Gatekeeper. Remember that most of the time root cause is incorrect login settings or network problem.
