OceanStor SNS Series Fibre Channel Switches Log Collecting Guide

915 0 1 1

Because the space for saving logs on a switch is relatively small and the number of ports on a switch is large, new event logs may easily overwrite existing logs if the events are frequently logged on a switch. If faults on a switch cannot be quickly cleared onsite, collect switch logs for further fault locating.

If the FTP, SFTP, and SCP cannot be used onsite, run the supportshow command on the CLI to display switch logs and save the output of the command.

On the CLI, log in to the switch using SSH and run the supportsave command. In the command output, enter the IP address of the host that saves logs, transmission protocol, and the directory to save logs. It takes about 10 minutes to collect logs.
