Hello Friends,
In continuation to my previous discussion topic, lets have a brief idea about the use of Intelligent Video Surveillance in Industries by leveraging 5G and AI
Emergence of 5G is a worldwide sensation. Since it will enable businesses to monitor many sites in different cities in real-time, 5G video surveillance will play a critical role in reducing security concerns and increasing operational efficiency. If 5G surveillance would be at the top of the IoT solution chain, this will come as no surprise. Given the importance of the 5G network in the scope of video surveillance, it will place a greater emphasis on creating a safer working environment, with commercial operations following suit.

Following are some opportunities for the industries that utilize intelligent video surveillance systems by leveraging 5G and artificial intelligence (AI):
Improving security across smart facilities (airports, healthcare, educational establishments, production facilities, and so on) by automating access control, infiltration detection, motion detection, and behavior detection:
5G CCTV powered by AI techniques like facial recognition could be used to allow automated access to people inside a building or to trigger an alarm based on their degree of authorization. It can also assist in deciphering people's actions, skin color, speech, emotions, attire, and other characteristics.
This technology could be utilized in manufacturing, construction, and other industries to detect irregularities in worker safety without the need for human intervention. Workers who do not follow normal safety practices, such as wearing helmets, shields, or yellow vests, can be automatically identified, reducing worker safety risks in manufacturing plants and industrial sites.
In high-traffic areas or popular tourist destinations, AI-powered 5G CCTV with behavioral analytics can be employed. It can recognize perpetrators in real-time by evaluating human behavior from live video feeds and comparing it to predetermined suspicious behavior data.
Improving the transportation surveillance system by detecting traffic, detecting incidents, and monitoring pedestrians:
AI-enabled 5G surveillance systems with video analytics can reduce traffic congestion on a real-time basis by identifying diverse traffic circumstances. By periodically altering the green time of each traffic light, this traffic surveillance data can be used to boost the effectiveness of the traffic management system. It may be used to automate number plate identification, identify illegal parking, reckless driving, traffic accidents, or vehicle breakdowns, and send alarms to appropriate authorities such as the fire department or the ambulance service.

Enabling medical surveillance:
One of the more intriguing applications for AI-powered video surveillance cameras is healthcare tracking, which enables virtual identification of patients' health conditions such as respiration rate. Furthermore, AI-enabled CCTVs can use computer vision to analyze surgical footage in real-time and forecast or recommend the next step based on a library of surgical instructions.
Improving retail customers' shopping experiences:
Employing motion detection, video analytics may help shops identify hotspots in their shopping center where the majority of consumers stop or spend time. It can be used as well to check when a store is busiest and staffing or resource management practice accordingly. It can also give merchants insight into consumer satisfaction by studying the facial expressions of customers transiting stores.
Driving remote asset management:
Ideal machine attributes and parameters fed into an AI-powered video analytics system can be used to study machine performance and behavioral trends. Utilizing AI-enabled CCTV cameras, this data would be used in real-time to discover objects that require maintenance or are not being used to their full potential. Users can also be warned with notifications when a machine is about to break, which can assist reduce machine downtime.
