Today, I will share with you the introduction of HUAWEI iBMC and how to log in to the iBMC.
iBMC description
As we know the iBMC (intelligent Baseboard Management Controller) is a HUAWEI-Developed intelligent management system that remotely manages servers.
It provides rich management functions and features:
●Multiple management interfaces for system integration
The iBMC supports the multiple management interfaces: DCMI 1.5, IPMI 1.5 and 1.2, CLI command line, Redfish interface, HTTPS interface, and SNMP.
●Fault monitoring and diagnostics
The iBMC can monitor the server status in real time, report alarms or exceptions in a timely manner, and use the FDM detection mechanism to prevent faults.
●Security management
iBMC provides various user security control interfaces and certificates to ensure login security and data transmission security.
●Easy maintenance
iBMC remote login maintenance, basic device configuration, and common maintenance management
How to login to the iBMC WebUI
Prerequisites for logging in to IBMC WebUI
1. Connect the PC and server with a network cable
You can use a network cable to directly connect the PC to the network adapter of the server, or connect two ports to the same switch.

2. Set the IP addresses in the same network segment
You need to set the IP address of the PC network adapter to be on the same network segment as the management IP address of the server iBMC.
The default IP address of iBMC is 192.168.2.100 or 192.168.2.101.
3. Enable TSL 1.2
Open the browser on PC and click Advanced, select the TSL 1.2, then click OK.

Process for logging in to iBMC WebUI
1. Open the browser, enter https://iBMC IP address in the address box.
You can open the browser on the PC, such as Google browser, IE browser, enter the iBMC IP address.
For example https://192.168.2.100. the 192.168.2.100 is the iBMC Ip address.
2. Click Continue to this website (not recommended).
After enter the IP address, then press enter, then you will see as follows:

Please click Continue to this website (not recommended).
3. Enter the username and password.
The default username and password, you can see the Huawei server default password.
Usually, you can choose the Local iBMC on the domain.

4. Click Log in to iBMC login
Then you will see as follows:

Prerequisites for logging in to IBMC WebUI
1. Connect the PC and server with a network cable

1. Open the SSH tools, create an SSH session.
You can use the SSH tools, such as Putty, or MobaXterm. Then create the SSH session.
For example, using the MobaXterm to create an SSH session.

2. Enter the iBMC IP address
After entering the IP address, please click OK to log in.
The default IP address of iBMC is 192.168.2.100 or 192.168.2.101.
3. Enter the username and password

The default username and password, you can see the Huawei server default password.
After entering the username and password, you will see the SSH CLI.
