Hello, guys!
Huawei server in-band management system iBMC provides abundant alarm mechanisms and supports FDM, which provides automatic fault diagnosis of the entire system. FDM includes fault data collection and analysis, fault diagnosis and locating, fault prewarning, and device health analysis. The iBMC uses a proactive failure analysis engine (PFAE) to implement FDM.
During routine operation and maintenance, you can view information about the faulty components and related historical events on the page, and take troubleshooting measures.
However, the iBMC system can be used only for a single server. Currently, most servers are deployed in cluster mode, and a single iBMC is difficult to manage. Therefore, you can configure email notification or trap dump on the iBMC.
Today, I will share with you How to configure Alarm Email Notification and Syslog/Trap dumping.
