2.13    Why a terminal has dual system, whether there is security issues

Dual system causes

Linux system used to implement management tools CDMS on Windows system image backup / restore function. Since not a single system environment on the local system disk for backup or restore operation, so need to introduce a Linux system on a Windows system restore operation.

Linux system security ***ysis

l  Is causing remote intrusion vulnerability

Linux systems are specifically designed to carry a small mirror system to extract / restore, Does not support TELNET, SSH and other remote connections. Only in backup / restore only when the scheduled task is enabled by CDMS, under normal circumstances, it can not be called remotely.

l  Local Security ***ysis

Manually restart the machine, they can choose to enter the Linux systems. Forced to break the mirror backup / restore process, enter the command line mode, to modify or delete the key Windows system files, such security risks does exist.

From the technical ***ysis, if the physical machine is exposed under the control of a malicious user, Local system security can not be guaranteed in any case. Because if do not pass the linux system, a malicious user can also through other means to destroy or steal the purpose of the Windows system files, such as WinPE system.

2.14    Window system upgrade issues

Windows system is damaged and can not enter the system

Windows system is being destroyed during the upgrade process or in the Use of the process. At this time management tool CDMS can not join the management, how do we do?

Using Windows U disk maintenance tool DDS tool for system upgrades, the specific upgrade process see "UDisk DDS_ User Manual".

Mirror download is complete, but the machine does not restart automatically

Windows into Linux systems in system upgrade, the mirror download is complete, but the machine does not restart automatically.

Press "Ctrl + Alt + Delete" Key combination or the power button to restart the machine manually. System restore has been completed, you can enter the system Normally.

Usin****MS to extract windows image, indicate a failure

Usin****MS to extract windows image, indicate a failure. How do we do?

Confirm the terminal network is normal.

Confirm the Ftp server space is adequacy.

2.15    Use run with System identity issued a patch pop-up dialog problem

Question phenomenon:

When using the CDMS deploy patches, issued a patch using run with system identity a dialog will pop up.

Problem ***ysis:

Due to the use run with system identity to install or import Safety-related system files when prompted.

Circumvent measures:

When using the CDMS patch deployment, use run with current user.

4        Terminal fault

4.1        TC cannot start up

l  Fault phenomenon: connect power DC to the TC, the indicator light of TC does not turn to red or after press the power button, the indicator does not turn to green.

l  Fault ***ysis:

1.      Judge if the power goes wrong by changing a normal power which is been using.

2.      If make sure that the power has no problem, focus attention to hear the sound of TC to see if there is sound of tick. That sound means the test of hardware, if you don’t hear that, the hardware goes wrong.

l  Handling method: replace the TC

4.2        RAM’s fault

l  Fault phenomenon: hear long-time bell when the TC starts up.

l  Fault ***ysis: That means the RAM’s alarm.

l  Handling method: replace the TC

4.3        Internet access fault

l  Fault phenomenon: Cannot get IP address when the TC starts up, the TC is in the process of “network connecting” all the time or there is exclamation mark at the right down corner.

l  Handling method: Move the TC to the place where the TC can be used normally to see if the problem reappears, if yes, then it’s the problem of TC’s internet access.

4.4        Fault of DVI, VGA interface

l  Fault phenomenon: The TC starts up normally but the monitor display blank screen.

l  Handing method:

1.      For the TC whose IP is fixed, you can use other TC to ping this TC, if the pinging succeed, it means there is problem with the monitor, connection line or DVI interface of TC. Change a monitor and have a try.

2.      For the TC which gets IP automatically, change a TC directly, if the monitor still displays blank screen, there is problem with DVI converter, VGA or monitor.
