Your home network setup, guidance and guarding

Hi all,

Since all of us here are the IT in our home, so most of us are resposible for setting up our home network, let me list some main points here that make our home network more safe, and I would like you all to share which of the following have you already done, and if there is anything extra mentione it in a comment:

1. Change the router’s default network name (SSID).

2. Change your password often.

3. Hide your network.

4. Enable WiFi protection.

5. Add a guest network.

6. Install the latest firmware updates.

7. Use a VPN.

8. Enable your router’s firewall

9. Filter MAC addresses

10. Turn off your wireless network when you’re not home.
