Hello friend!

A WRFU is a WCDMA radio frequency unit (WRFU). A WRFU working in UMTS mode supports a maximum of four carriers.

Function

A WRFU performs the following functions:

  • Performs direct frequency conversion on the TX channel, and modulates baseband signals to WCDMA RF signals. After being filtered, amplified, or combined, the RF signals are sent by the duplexer to the antenna for transmission.

  • Receives RF signals from an antenna system and then down-converts the RX signals to IF signals. After being amplified, analog-to-digital converted, digital down-converter, matched filtered, and AGC processed, the IF signals are sent to the BBU for further processing.

  • Performs power control and VSWR detection.

  • Performs reverse power control.

  • Synthesizes frequencies and tests loops.

  • Generates the CPRI clock, recovers the CPRI clock from out-of-synchronization and detects alarms.
