Many of us may understand the benefits of savings, however, we may not know how to create or manage our money. There is a range of books that cover personal finance. One of my favorite books of all time is Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki. It really helped me to open up your mind on how to improve my financial knowledge.
If you still need convincing, here are 3 reasons why I think it's amazing :
It teaches you that there is no end to learning :
Whilst money is needed in order to function in today’s society, the only way to gain more income is to gain more financial knowledge.
Here is a quote from the book : “Money without financial intelligence is money soon gone”
2. It teaches you that mastering your emotions is the key to well manage money :
The book mentions that there are two emotions that trap most people : fear and desire. These two can affect your decision and make you irrational.
Here is my favorite quote from the book that emphasize that: “Learn to use your emotions to think, not think with your emotions”.
3. It teaches you that you can have a choice in life :
We often believe that we don't have the choice to choose how we live, how we earn our income and spend it. This book encourages you to find new ways to make money instead of being stuck in a job that you hate in order to pay your bills.
