Hello Everyone, as we generally building WLAN network, it is adviced to now how to troubleshoot our network before and after the fault occurs.
The general troubleshooting process is ass follow:
Evaluate fault severity
Generally we can now the fault severity based on level. We have 4 levels
-Warning: Fault could potentially create a problem with the resource
-Minor: Fault which not affect services but can conduct serious fault. Need corrective actions
-Major: Fault may cause service-related problems with resource
-Critical: Severe problem is impacting the resources
Depending of the fault severity we have to take consequent actions,preventives or curatives
Collect informations
We can use one click information collection like display commands (display interfaces, display version etc...) or obtain logs form the system
Locate the fault
With the information collected,we can locate the fault. we have to observe,make exlusions, compare and interchange
Rectify the fault
For Hardware fault: Reset or replace the component
For configuration fault: Modify configuration data or upgrade the software
Verify if the services are well restored
Verify that the fault is no more pending, alarms not pending and after make a summary and save
