WLAN Set Up in HG8244H Router

Hi there.

Please help in providing information in setting up WLAN in the HG8244H router.

While setting up, the router admin and password entering take to a screen where no WLAN.

Please advise how to change the SSID name and password in this router.

I do not see the wifi ssid name and password screen to change that
I see only tabs like WAN LAN security forward rules system tools..... There is no WLAN or WIFI
Can you help me to send a screen shot

Hello, my friend. 


Generally, the options on the web page are the same for products of similar models. 


You can make the changes according to the file I gave you. 


If you do not find this option, your product may be a custom product. 


Please contact your device provider and ISP to enable this feature.

Yes Sir, it is Ooreoo router - backside it is printed as HG659 whereas when i enter 192.168.100.1 the router model indicated as HG8244H - and there is no WLAN settings in the router setting - I did RESET yesterday - still same no WLAN settings are appearing in the router set up

I checked this weblink - it doesnt say the process how to change the SSID or wifi - There is no WLAN tab appearing in the router setup when I enter 192.168.100.1 - There is no option in the router set up to change the SSID and password because there is no WLAN set up - I can send you the screen print if you need

I think it related to firmware if u can upgrade etc.;

Yes - This is a Ooredoo router - The model number printed at the back of the router is HG659 whereas when we enter the router setup using username and password, the first screen indicates that this model is HG8244H - This is confusing - Even if the router is RESET and again I check - the same moel HG8244H only appears on the PC screen whereas back it is written HG659 -.
If you can provide some information how we can update the SSID wifi and other data in router for WLAN - please advise

You need to confirm your model. Huawei ONTs need to be obtained from formal channels. You are advised to contact your device provider to check whether the device is normal and obtain the solution.
