[WLAN]Q&A: What Is the Version Mapping Between ACs and APs?

Before configuring the WLAN, ensure that the AC version matches the AP version. Otherwise, the APs may fail to go online. The following figure lists the version mapping between ACs and APs.

For more information, see the Quick Reference for WLAN AP Version Mapping and Models.

Interesting info,
we can simply say that AP version must be aligned with R version of WLAN AC (rule A)

The only exception is V200R019 AC version because is compatible not only with AP V200R019 but it is also retro-compatible with V200R010 and V200R009.

There is another table that could be of interest: switches with native WLAN AC (for example S12700) have different alignment rules, for example V200R010 AC is NOT compatible with V200R010 AP version (you need V200R013 AC).
In other word, for native WLAN AC the general rule A is not valid.
