For a radio port that is not connected to an antenna, it is recommended that a 50-ohm RF load be connected to the radio port to improve device reliability.
Let's take a look at a case.
Symptom
At a site, no RF load is installed on the idle radio port of an outdoor AP with external antennas, affecting device reliability.
Fault Location
If an outdoor AP with external antennas has an idle radio port unconnected, signals from the radio port will be reflected back to the AP, affecting signal and device reliability.
Solution
Install a 50-ohm RF load on the idle radio port. For details, see Cable Connection.

Summary
Outdoor APs often have high transmit power. Unused radio ports must be connected to 50-ohm RF loads to prevent radio interference, and the joint between the radio port and RF load must be sealed with waterproof insulation tape.
