HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)
I’ve been using eg8141a5 for the past 8 month.
Last week i’ve noticed that the wifi range has decreased drastically. There is no other wifi network nearby or no source of interference was introduced. What may be the problem?

Hello, friend!

If the device is powered on for a long time, the device performance deteriorates, the network speed decreases, or the wireless network coverage decreases. Therefore, you are advised to restart the device periodically to release the CPU usage of the device, improving device performance.

Of course, as my friend in the comments section said, wireless networks are vulnerable to environmental impacts. You can check the posts on the forums to learn about the factors affecting wireless networks.

Thanks!

Hello,

Wired networks are usually faster than wireless networks.

The wireless Wi-Fi network rate is affected by the environment.

Devices are connected through cables and are not affected by the environment. The network rate is stable.

You can also log in to the web interface of the device by default information (default login IP address, default account, and password) on the device nameplate to check the network status of the device.

If you need to increase your network speed, you can contact your ISP to increase your network bandwidth, but this is a paid service.

Thanks

Hi,

There is some source of interference or there is a problem with the hardware of ONT.
Many devices can be a source of interference: microwave ovens, drones, wireless cameras,... many devices work on 2.4GHz and they can be big problem for wireless network.
There are also problems with ONT. You can contact your ISP.
