Hello everyone,

The school hopes that WiFi will be authenticated by using Active Directory domain usernames:

For example, the school has a public laptop.

If this laptop is used by the teacher and logged in with the AD login name, the laptop must be connected to the teacher’s WiFi VLAN (VLAN id 24);

If the student uses the AD login name to log in when using this laptop, the laptop must be connected to the student WiFi VLAN (VLAN id 42);

The school’s WiFi LAN DHCP server is located on the school firewall (also Huawei USG6515E-V600R007C00SPC200+ patch SPH005)

Do you have any suggestions for solving this situation?

Hi Qazik,

For the AD synchronization. You can synchronize the AD in different modes: https://support.huawei.com/hedex/hdx.do?docid=EDOC1100141043&id=EN-US_TOPIC_0195851385&lang=en

You can synchronize it by user group to have a group for students and one for teachers: https://support.huawei.com/hedex/hdx.do?docid=EDOC1100141043&id=EN-US_TOPIC_0214685079&lang=en

Then you will be able to use the student/teacher group for authentication: https://support.huawei.com/hedex/hdx.do?docid=EDOC1100141043&id=EN-US_TOPIC_0191350369&lang=en

And configure an authorization rule to move the user to a specific VLAN: https://support.huawei.com/hedex/hdx.do?docid=EDOC1100141043&id=EN-US_TOPIC_0191350316&lang=en. This will apply after the user tries to connect to the SSID and is authenticated.

I hope it helps!
