Hi@MPatel

Cloud-based management allows unconfigured cloud APs to automatically download specified configuration files, system software packages, and patch packages from the CloudCampus@AC-Campus after they are powered on, enabling them to go online. Network administrators do not need to commission the cloud APs onsite. They can deliver operation instructions to the cloud APs anywhere anytime using the CloudCampus@AC-Campus, achieving fast batch service configuration.

Traditional network solutions have many network deployment problems, such as high deployment costs, as well as difficult operations and maintenance (O&M). These problems are obvious in enterprises with many geographically dispersed branches. CloudCampus Solution implements centralized device management and maintenance on the CloudCampus@AC-Campus, significantly reducing network deployment and O&M costs. Hello,

Please find below the solution for your issue

Licensing Requirements and Limitations for Cloud-based Management

Licensing Requirements

A license specifies the capacity of device management services provided by the Agile Controller-Campus. A license controls validity periods, types, and quantity of managed devices.
  • Validity period control: Validity periods of trial and official licenses can be controlled. The trial period of a license is 30 days since the tenant account registration.

  • Device type control: Currently, switches, firewalls, and APs are supported.

  • Device quantity control: Control the number of managed devices. If the number of managed devices reaches the upper limit allowed in a license, new devices cannot be bound to the license.

Tenants need to purchase licenses from managed service providers (MSPs). Device service configuration and management on the Agile Controller-Campus can be implemented only after a device associates with a license.

Feature Limitations

  • The account password configured through the web platform or console port takes effect only after the device registers with the Agile Controller-Campus. After the device registers and goes online, the Agile Controller-Campus delivers a new account password that overwrites that configured using methods other than the previous two. Therefore, if the device has been online on the Agile Controller-Campus, you need to login to the device using the account password delivered by the Agile Controller-Campus afterwards.

  • An AD9431DN-24X in cloud mode is subject to the following limitations:

    • The AP only coordinates radio resources of managed RUs but does not involve the roaming, radio calibration, or load balancing service with other cloud APs (including cloud central APs).

    • The AP does not support NAT, IPSec VPN, SAC application identification, IoT, or Bluetooth, and cannot serve as a PPPoE client.

  • When an AP's working mode is switched, the system software package is copied between the active and standby storage areas (which takes 10-20 minutes). You are not advised to perform a version upgrade during this period. Otherwise, the upgrade fails.

  • After switching an AP to a cloud AP, you are advised to use the following commands in traditional mode listed in Table 2.

Hi

The Cloud-based management allows unconfigured cloud APs to automatically download specified configuration files, system software packages, and patch packages from the Agile Controller-Campus after they are powered on, enabling them to go online. Network administrators do not need to commission the cloud APs onsite. They can deliver operation instructions to the cloud APs anywhere anytime using the Agile Controller-Campus, achieving fast batch service configuration.

Applications:

On the basic network of Huawei Cloud Managed Network (CMN) , APs forward intermediate data. Different from APs managed in traditional mode, cloud APs are plug-and-play and can automatically register with the Agile Controller-Campus through the Internet. Additionally, cloud APs can receive operation instructions from the Agile Controller-Campus anytime, anywhere, achieving fast batch service configuration. A cloud AP provides wireless access in office areas and public areas such as corridors and canteens. Cloud APs support access control on mobile terminal users.
