Dear all
Today we are going to learn about the Wi-Fi 6 performance test. Check out the information displayed below for more details on the topic.
OVERVIEW OF Wi-Fi 6
Nowadays, WLAN has become an economic and efficient network access mode. Through WLAN technology, users can easily access the wireless network and move freely within the coverage area, completely getting rid of restraints of the wired network.
It is essential to understand the basic components of enterprise WLAN and their characteristics.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is a WLAN technology based on the IEEE 802.11 standard.
In daily life, Wi-Fi and 802.11 are used as a synonym.
Wi-Fi is also a trademark of the Wi-Fi Alliance and used as a brand to certify Wi-Fi products.
Wi-Fi Alliance was established in 1999. It was called Wireless Ethernet Compatibility Alliance (WECA) at first and officially changed its name to Wi-Fi Alliance in October, 2002.
Wi-Fi 6 offers large bandwidth, high concurrency and low latency, which will meet the demand for multi-user high-density concurrency, large bandwidth and low latency required by emerging applications like VR/AR/4K.

Wi-Fi 6 PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENTS VS Wi-Fi 5
Factors affecting Wi-Fi rate: spatial stream, number of subcarriers, signal transmission time and modulation/demodulation mode.

SMART ANTENNA
What is a smart antenna? What is the difference between a smart antenna and a common antenna? Firstly, the smart antenna can flexibly and dynamically adjust the signal coverage direction according to the users accessing from different directions so that the signals can move along with the users. Secondly, smart antennas can focus signals from multiple directions in one direction, leading to greater obstacle penetration or longer coverage distances.
There are three challenges that must be overcome for an enterprise's smart antenna to achieve super performance:
how to fit more antennas in such a small volume?
how to focus the signals on each direction? That is, how to increase the coverage distance to the maximum extent without increasing the signal loss?
how to provide more accurate coverage for users in different directions?
THE SMART ANTENNA FROM HUAWEI
Huawei Smart Antenna is an antenna technology that combines hardware and software. it combines the advantages of 5G technology, software and hardware, while achieving a 20% increase in coverage distance.

SMART ANTENNA COVERAGE TEST
AP smart antenna test: Set up two environments. The AP in one environment does not support smart antennas and the AP in the other environment supports smart antennas. Use the same terminal to test the signal strength at the same distance from the two APs.

Wi-Fi 6 SINGLE USER PERFORMANCE TEST (STEP 1)
1. Connect to the WiFi6 SSID huawei-wifi6-AP7060DN on the test PC.
2. Run the WiFi6-ax200-server.bat script in the WiFi6 ax200 server folder on PC1.
