Why the RMON performance count is 0

Hello everyone!

After I checked the main control board of the SCC board of the OSN3500 device, I checked the RMON performance of the Ethernet services carried by the device and found that their count was 0. Why?

Hi there!

RMON statistical data is large in volume and changes quickly, so the statistics are stored in the form of temporary variables, and no operations such as storage or backup are performed. Therefore, the RMON performance counted on the master controller will not be synchronized to the master controller of the backup master after the master/backup switchover, so the count will be counted again.
