I was studying the NAT and having some test on the AR router, where I found some errors. The topology is displayed as below:
When ping from the PC1 to R2, the source IP address could be translated to the interface g0/0/1 ip address, but when ping from the AR1 router itself with appointing the source ip address to the loopback interface ip address, in which situation, the NAT doesn’t take effect though the lookback interface ip address is allowed in the ACL.
@user_3445655 Hi, It’s normal. The packets sent from the router itself will bypass the NAT. In another word, for those packets generated by the CPU, it will be sent directly out of the device.
