Why Physical NICs Cannot Be Stopped After the ifdown Command Is Run ?

Take V100R019C10 as an example.

FusionInsight is deployed in the environment. Assume that the FusionInsight floating IP address bound to ethx:0 is the IP address of the eth1:0 NIC. After the ifdown eth1 command is run, the eth1:0 NIC does not stop because FusionInsight automatically enables the floating IP address of eth1:0. As a result, the eth1:0 NIC does not go down.

To stop the eth1:0 NIC, run the following command to stop the OMS process of the node where the eth1:0 NIC resides in advance, and then run the ifdown eth1 command.

sh /opt/huawei/Bigdata/om-server/om/sbin/stop-oms.sh
