Why is "Bad password" displayed during password setting on a Linux system?

When you use the passwd command to change your password, the following messages may be displayed:

• BAD PASSWORD: it is based on a dictionary word

  A dictionary string exists.

• BAD PASSWORD: it's WAY too short

  The password is too short.

• BAD PASSWORD: it is based on your username

  The password is the user name.

• The password should meet the minimum complexity requirement, that is, the password must contain at least three of the following types, including upper-case letters (A to Z), lower-case letters (a to z), digits (0 to 9), and special characters (such as !, #, $, and %).

• The new password cannot same to account or reverse account.

• The password of administrator must have at least 10 characters, and the password of user must have at least 8 characters.

• Please keep the password and regularly changes.

• Password can not contain more than two consecutive identical characters. Hope to help you.
