Question
Why is a BBU charging check required when a storage device is powered on after a power-off triggered by an exception?
Answer
Cause
The device is V300R001. When it is powered on after a power-off, the system checks whether the BBU has sufficient power and does not proceed to the next power-on process until the BBU passes the check. The whole process takes a maximum of three hours.
Solution
Observe the BBU indicator, and only power on the storage device after BBU charging is complete.
Description of the BBU indicator:
Steady green: The BBU is fully charged.
Blinking green (once per second): The BBU is being charged.
Blinking green (four times per second): The BBU is being discharged.
Steady red: The BBU is faulty.
Off: The BBU is powered off or is hot-swappable.
