Why Does the walk Operation Performed by SNMP Agent Time Out on a Certain Node?

The MIB is in the hierarchical tree structure. Each managed object (MO) is identified by a set of nodes along the path from the root to the leaf node.

When the MIB browser enables SNMP agent to perform the walk operation on a certain node having multiple empty tables, the SNMP agent searches for data in these empty tables, thus causing the walk operation to time out. This problem can be solved by increasing timeout period of the NMS.
