[Problem Description]
The problem occurs after the following operations:
Create a VG and activate it.
Disconnect all physical paths.
When the states of the physical paths become Failed, reconnect all of them.
Deactivate the VG.
Enable the restoration function for the failed paths of unused disks.
A physical path cannot be restored within 5 minutes.
[Solution]
Possible cause:
After the VG is activated and paths are disconnected, a physical path fails to be set to the Failed status and stays in Enabled status. When the VG is deactivated, disks are not used yet.
The restoration function for unused disks can only detect paths in Failed states and update the states of the corresponding physical paths. The function neither detects the path in Enabled status nor updates the status of the corresponding physical path. As a result, the logical link is Enabled but the physical link is Failed.
Impact:
No impact on services
Solution:
The following two methods can restore the path status:
After the VG is activated, the states of physical paths are updated automatically.
Delete the logical paths corresponding to physical paths and report again.
