Why cannot I ping the OSN 6800

Hello, everyone!

I need to log in to an OSN 6800. Both my computer and the OSN 6800 are connected to the same switch. Ping the port of the OptiX OSN 6800 from my computer, but the ping fails. The Ethernet indicators are on. The IP settings of my computer are normal. What am I supposed to do?

Dear friend!
Some switches or routers support the strict mode and non-strict mode. In strict mode, switches or routers learn ARP entries only after receiving ARP response packets. However, IP ping of RTN/OSN devices does not support ARP response. Therefore, if switches or routers are set to strict mode, The IP address cannot be pinged. The workaround is to set the switch or router to non-strict mode.
