Why can I view the LUN information whitout mapping the LUN to host?

We have deployed the ultrapath on the Rh2288H V3 SERVER with the Windows OS.
However, after the UltraPath was installed, and we did not map the LUN to the host.
We can see the LUN information on the ultrapath console.
It's very weird, Why I can view the LUN information even whitout mapping the LUN to the host?
