Why are OSPF low-cost routes not selected in the routing table?

Hello everyone,

As shown in the following figure, the cost value of the route from OSPF to 10.X.X.16 is 10, which is a static route imported by the backup router.

The route to 10.X.X.16 in the routing table is a static route with a priority of 100,

What I want to ask is, how can the OSPF route to 10.X.X.16 be preferentially selected into the routing table? The local static route is not preferred.

In addition, it is said that the priority of OSPF is 10. Therefore, OSPF is preferred. Why is the static route preferred?

Hi WDNJSQ,
Route 10.X.X.16 is a static route imported by the backup router. The priority of the route is ospf ase = 150, which is higher than that of the static route 100. Therefore, the static route is preferred. You can change the static value to 160, or configure an OSPF policy to set the OSPF ase priority to 90.
