Who owns the accounts? Who adds who?

  HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)

I have a concern. Should an Installator create account for Owner or other way around?

I've been given access as an Owner from my Instalator, but I don't see option to add new users (ie my wife) so she can also manage the installation, see the stats etc. I don't want to share the same account, for security reasons we never do that for any service. When I opened the FusionSolar App for the first time, it clearly says I should register account by myself and set the password myself too (that wasn't the case). Also it clearly says I would be able later to create lower tier accounts such as an Installator accountor lower level owner, but this is not possible or I don't see where to do that. I have serious concerns as an owner of the installation, I don't have full controll or ownership of my account, instead I am a lower level user, which in my opionion is wrong. Another example, how do I change the settings in case my wifi password is changed? Only Installator can do that?

Hello, @lokers

Only an Installer account can create Owner, Guest or other Installer accounts. If you want an additional account for your wife, just contact your installer and ask this, it will spend maximum 3 minutes to create it via FusionSolar APP or webpage.

If you create a new Installer account (company account by yourself) it will be useless because your PV plant (inverter) was created under installer's company so you can't access it anyhow.

The only thing which can be done is like this:

 - to ask him to create a second Owner account for your wife;

 - to ask him to delete the PV plant and your account from his company and then you can create an Installer account(company account by yourself) and to register/create your inverter under your company.

Also, even if you don't have an installer account, for any Wi-Fi settings (in case that you have replaced the router), you can connect locally to inverter to setup the new connection (see the attach document).

Hope that the above solved your questions i_f30.gif

I don't understand. If the Installer's company go busted tomorrow and his account I won't be able to control it anymore. As an owner I should be in full control telling who can access it or not. Why should I rely on someone else to manage users and other settings?
Will it be possible if I do this instead?:
1.I create Installer account
2. I add him as another Installer
3. I create separate Owners accounts for myself and my wife
Thank you for your help.

Basically, the owners does not have electrical skills or knowledges so if they'll have an Installer account, they could set something wrong on inverter which could make it run abnormally.
Also, regarding your questions:
1) yes, you can but you need to let your installer knows about that.
2) not recommended, you can just Share your PV plant with his account;
3) only for your wife, you already would have an Installer account so another owner account for yourself is useless.
Thank you
