Hi@JorgeMX
When the heartbeat is directly connected or connected through a Layer 2 switch, the sent packet is a multicast packet, and the packet encapsulation does not carry UDP header information. When the heartbeat is connected through a layer 3 device (router), because the multicast packet cannot pass through the layer 3 device, an additional UDP header is added to the packet encapsulation. At this time, the packet sent is unicast. By default, Huawei firewalls allow multicast traffic (such as VGMP messages without remote parameters) to prohibit unicast traffic (such as VGMP messages with remote parameters). Therefore, if remote parameters are configured, UDP will be encapsulated and sent to To broadcast packets, you need to configure a security policy between the local area and the area where the heartbeat interface is located.
