FULL PROXY
The SBC can act as a proxy for signaling and media streams:
SIGNALING PROXY
Another scenario which the SBC is deployed in:
MEDIA PROXY
All media streams are processed and forwarded by the SBC.
The SBC re-specifies the IP address + port for the received RTP media stream.
IT performs the validity check on the packets and defines media stream policies (such as packet filtering, QoS and security control) according to the result of the signaling processing.
These would be the scenarios which the SBC is deployed in.
