Problem description:
When the OSN3500 and OSN9500 are installed in the same 9500 cabinet, how can the alarm indicator signal of the OSN3500 connect to the cabinet indicator?
The cabinet indicator drive of the 9500 is in the EMPU. The drive is a DB9 connector not supporting cascade.
Handling procedure:
The cabinet indicator drive of the OSN9500 is in the EMPU. The drive is a DB9 connector not supporting cascade. Through the common pin-2PIN-single bar/T2500J terminal, the drive connects to the cabinet indicator. The OSN3500 cabinet indicator drive interface is on the AUX. The interface is a RJ45 connector, connecting to the cabinet indicator through the common pin.
For the OSN3500, you can use the alarm cascading cable to concatenate indicator signals or alarm signals among different OSN equipment subracks. Both ends of the cable are RJ-45 connectors. One end connects to the LAMP1 or ALMO2 interface of the AUX in the subrack and the other end connects to the LAMP2 or ALMO1 interface of the AUX in the subrack. However, the OSN9500 does not support alarm cascading.
Root cause:

Solution:
1. Check the OSN9500 to confirm that inter-subrack indicator signal does not support cascading.
2. The red, orange, yellow, and green cabinet indicators of the OSN9500 have two jacks respectively, which can access two-channel alarm lines.
3. The cabinet indicator alarm line of the OSN9500 and OSN3500 is connected to the cabinet indicator.
