When IP Phones Are Connected to the U1930, Occasionally All Users Cannot Make Calls

Symptom

Version:

U1930 V100R001C01SPC800

eSpace 7900 V100R001C01SPC700

When IP phones are connected to the U1930, occasionally all users cannot make calls. Every time services automatically recover after the U1930 is manually restarted.

There are 10 fixed users onsite. The fault occurs irregularly once a week.

Alarm information: none

Possible Cause

The default network mode of IP phones is UC2.0. In the UC2.0 network mode, the PBX (U1930) continuously reports phone status to the AA component of the UC platform. Since no UC platform is deployed onsite, the PBX (U1930) stops responding after repeated reporting failures.

Solution

Log in to the network client of each IP phone using Internet Explorer, and change the network mode to Other or UC2.X. The fault is rectified.

Conclusion and Suggestion

None
