- The root user has the right of changing the password of a non-root user. If the password of a non-root user is lost, contact the root user and make the root user run the terminal user password command to change the password.
- Change the password of the user logging in to the system using CLI on the NMS.
- Change the password of the root user logging in to the system using CLI on the NMS.
- If the administrator or the user having higher priority can log in to the system, save and back up the configuration file and delete the command for setting the password of the root user from the configuration file. Then, load the modified configuration file and activate it to restart the system so as to restore the default password of the root user. After that, log in to the system using the root user name and the restored password, change the password, and save the data.
