Hi there.

There is an OLT, originally with 2 slots for standby, 3 slots for the main control board, and 0-3-0 as the upstream port. Now unplug the 3 slots, wait for the 2 slots to activate the main control board, and then plug it back into the 3 slots, and insert the optical module 0-3-0 into the 2 slots, and then I log in to the OLT and found that the data automatically becomes port vlan zzzzzzz 0/ 2 0.

It turns out that the optical module is directly inserted into the current main control board, will the system automatically change the data?

If you want to switch between active and standby, is there any other simpler method besides removing the original main control board, such as directly logging in to the OLT and modifying it? Will there be any adverse effects?

What is the role of the protected group? Who can explain the following example?

protect-group 10 protect-target as-mainboard work mode port state

protect-group member board 0/9 role work

protect-group member board 0/10 role protect

protect-group enable

Thank you!

Hello, friend!

In the active/standby mode, the data on the active control board is always switched with the data on the active control board.

If the active/standby protection group is configured, the traffic is switched to the board in the slot where the port that is Up is located.

Slots 0 and 2 become active control boards.

Thanks!
