Question

What needs to be configured in a storage system after antivirus software is installed on a connected application server?

Answer

After antivirus software is installed on an application server, the following symptoms may occur:

The multipathing software is isolated by the antivirus software and therefore fails.
The iSCSI service conflicts with the antivirus software, causing the iSCSI service to be blocked.

To enable the application server to properly use storage space, you must configure the trusted software to include the multipathing software and iSCSI software.

Does it affect only iSCSI? Or it will affect FC to? What about smb and nfs?

if the antivirs software treat the multipath as a not safe APP, the FC may be affected. and for nas (such as smb and nfs) do not need the muulltipath software ,so i think it would not be affedted
