Hi!
The network port mode of the control board to enable different network ports to process different data streams so that the data can be transmitted securely and quickly.
In different network port modes, each network port processes different data streams. Table 1 lists the data streams that can be processed by each network port in different modes. To make data transmission more secure and reliable, you are advised to use the dual-network-port or triple-network-port mode.
Table 1. Network port modesNetwork Port Mode | Network Port 0 | Network Port 1 | Network Port 2 |
|---|
Single-network-port mode | Processes all data streams and connects to the BillServer. | This network port and network port 0 work in active/standby mode. | Not used. |
Dual-network-port mode | Processes the following streams and connects to the BillServer: Network management packets: Telnet, Secure Shell (SSH), Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP), FTP server (FTPS), web management server, or proprietary protocols for communicating with the business management unit (BMU), Business Management Platform (BMP), and LMT Protocol packets: RADIUS/SNTP
| Processes all data streams and connects to the BillServer. | Not used. |
Triple-network-port mode | Processes the following streams and connects to the BillServer: Network management packets: Telnet, SSH, SNMP, TFTP, FTPS, or proprietary protocols for communicating with the BMU, BMP, and LMT Protocol packets: RADIUS/SNTP
| Processes all data streams and connects to the BillServer. | Connects to the BillServer. |
