What is the normal attenuation of optical cables per kilometer

What is the normal attenuation of optical cables per kilometer? Is there a standard value?

Hi
You can estimate the loss of fiber G652 in 1550nm as 0.3 that means in 100km about 30dbm. This value usually becomes nearer to reality as the attenuation is not ideal per kilometer .

Optical signal attenuation consists of 2 parts: attenuation generated by the optical cables and attenuation caused by connections (melt splicing, mechanical splicing, optical splitters, movable connectors, or quick connectors) along the optical path.
