Hello, everyone!

The following are the details:

A:

The N2510 uses the Oracle database and the Linux platform to ensure system security and reliability.

Context

The N2510 can be deployed in centralized or distributed mode.

  • In the centralized deployment mode, the N2510 system is deployed on a server, which manages devices, provisions services, and collects and analyzes data.

  • In the distributed deployment mode, the N2510 system is deployed on multiple servers which consist of one MBCU server and at least one DCCU server. The disk array is required. The MBCU server is the core part of the distributed deployment. It manages all the DCCU servers in the system and runs core N2510 services. The DCCU servers manage AN devices and collect data on the devices. The disk array stores data and provides data redundancy and error tolerance.

The MBCU and DCCU servers are logically differentiated and they are the N2510 server physically.

Both the standalone and HA N2510 systems support centralized and distributed deployment modes. Carriers can select a server and deployment mode according to the network scale. For details, see N2510 Server Hardware Configuration.

  • The HA system requires two servers. One server serves as the active server and the other works as the standby server. The disk array is connected to the two servers using the FC ports on the servers to expand storage space.

  • The HA system can be deployed only locally.

  • Users must use a network cable to connect NICs on the two servers for heartbeats. For example, connect the ETH2 NIC on the active server to the ETH2 NIC on the standby server.

  • The active and standby servers are equipped with the Linux OS, Oracle database (installed on the active server and copied to the standby server), N2510 software, Veritas Cluster (installed only on the active server), and one-click disk array configuration script.
