Question
What is the multi-view feature of TE series endpoints used to do? How do I set the multiview?
Answer
A TE series endpoint (TE40, TE50, or TE60) can combine two or more local video input
channels as one video channel (video captured by the camera) and send it to remote sites. The
computer desktop and video captured by the camera can be combined together. The multiview
feature supports dynamic configuration. That is, you can set the multi-view during a
conference, and the setting takes effect in real time.
The multi-view mode can be PiP (where the pane is displayed in either of the four corners), 2
panes, or 3 panes. The pane source can be any local physical input source but cannot be a
remote source. You can select an input source in use.
To set the multi-view, perform the following steps:
Step 1 Log in to the endpoint web interface, choose Device Control > Device Control, and click the
Multi-View tab.
Step 2 Set Multi-view mode.
- PiP:

- 2 panes:

- 3 panes 1:

- 3 panes 2:

Step 3 Select the input sources.
Step 4 Click the Video Control tab.
Step 5 Under Video Input Source in the lower left corner of the Video Control tab page, set Video
Source to Multi-View.
After the setting, the video you view locally is a continuous presence. If you are in a
conference, the continuous presence is sent to remote sites as local video.
