Hello, friend.

4-in-4-out product model:

  • 4-in indicates that the MA5633 provides 4 RF IN ports for inputting CATV signals forwarded from the optical receiver.

  • 4-out indicates that the MA5633 provides 4 RF OUT ports for transmitting CATV+ signals to the user-side hybrid fiber-coaxial (HFC) network.

The MA5633 supports 0-in-2-out, 2-in-2-out, 0-in-4-out, and 4-in-4-out. Whether the MA5633 supporting 2 RF ports is selected or the MA5633 supporting 4 RF ports is selected is determined by the number of ports (the number of cables connected from the optical receiver to the MA5633) on the optical receiver in the site.

  • If there are 2 cables, the MA5633 supporting 2 RF ports is selected.

  • If there are 4 cables, the MA5633 supporting 4 RF ports is selected.

Whether the MA5633 supporting 0-in is selected or the MA5633 supporting x-in is selected is determined by whether an external optical receiver is configured in the site.

  • If an external optical receiver or transmitter is configured, the MA5633 supporting x-in is selected.

  • If no external optical receiver is configured, the MA5633 supporting 0-in (has the embedded optical receiver) is selected.

Thanks.
