What is the function of the AP region

I'm wondering about the function of the AP region in the version V200R005 and earlier, do you have any suggestions about this?

An AP region is used for radio power adjustment, interference prevention, and batch upgrade
of APs of the same type. AP regions can be added, deleted, modified, and combined.
