Hi, friend.

  • The full-adaptive MCU supports the participation of terminals with any bandwidth in any protocol format. Each participant can join the conference in the appropriate mode. To make the effect of a better condition. The full-adaptive MCU has a built-in GK.

  • The full-switching MCU is a forwarding device and must have the same protocol format bandwidth. The full-switch MCU does not support the built-in GK, and cannot use the built-in GK to hold a conference. The MCU must be connected to the platform before the conference can be held.

In full adaptive MCU mode, MCU can use built-in GK and can hold a conference while in full-switching MCU mode, it can only help users if it is connected with another platform. you can use the command to set it.:

system-view conf-policy adapt-type 1

switch from full adaptation to full switching

system-view conf-policy adapt-type 0

switching from full switching to full adaptation

Functional comparison: The universal transcoding supports access of various protocols, bandwidths, and formats, and can encode and decode streams. Full switching requires the same protocol, format, and bandwidth, and the main function is forwarding.

In terms of cost: the fully swapped ones are cheaper.
