hi wassim ,
do u mean alarm reversion in U2000 ??
if yes ,
here is the explanation

Alarm reversion is to inverse the state of the alarm in that port .

so when the alarm is exist the NMS doesnot report it , but when the alarm is cleared the NMS report it .

u may wonder why we use it , I will give u example if u have alot of E1 ports that u have leased them to a company so u opened them all (loaded) so u will have alot of T-Alos alarm in your SDH .

now u want to know when exactly they start using them and u want to hide the T-Alos alarm from your screen .

u use the alarm reversion so u clear the alarm from the screen and when they start use the port u see the alarm in your screen .

i hope that is clear .

Hello,

Alarm suppression/shielding can set any alarm of a certain channel. The suppressed/shielded alarms will no longer be monitored from the board side, and the alarm will not be reported to the host.

The difference between alarm shielding and alarm suppression is quite large:

The alarm shielding is only shielded on the network management system. The network element continues to report, and the network management system will not display it. It will still be reported when other network management systems are connected. It is reflected in the device that the device alarm indicator is still on.

The alarm suppression is to suppress the alarm from the NE. The main control will not report the alarm to the NMS, and other network management access will not be reported. It is reflected on the device that the device alarm indicator will turn green.

Thanks
