Hello, everyone!

The P2P optical access content is as follows:

Definition

Point-to-point (P2P) Ethernet optical access is a mode in which P2P Ethernet optical access boards provide GE, 10GE and FE ports and coordinate with downstream devices to implement various optical access solutions for users. The solutions include FTTC/FTTB, FTTH, FTTO, FTTM.

Purpose

P2P Ethernet optical access is specially applicable to residential communities with optical fibers routed. It provides a more flexible FTTx solution, especially integrated services, including video, voice, and data for users. This feature has the following advantages:

  • Higher bandwidth. The FTTH solution implemented through P2P optical access can provide a higher bandwidth for users, meeting the requirements of high-end users.

  • Lower costs. P2P Ethernet optical access boards support more cascaded DSLAMs, reducing FTTC/FTTB networking costs.

  • Higher reliability. P2P optical access allows a higher reliability in the DSLAM cascading scenario through features such as inter-board aggregation, and ring check.

  • More flexible scenarios. The P2P Ethernet optical access boards coordinate with a variety of downstream devices (such as the DSLAM, ONT, SBU, and CBU) to implement FTTC/FTTB, FTTH, FTTO, FTTM. An EA5800 configured with the P2P Ethernet optical access board can not only be directly connected to access terminals but also cascade DSLAMs in order to converge a large number of users.

Thanks!

I have required a lot of knowledge, which encourages me to gohead for excellent level .
The post also is useful and practical to me and then take the knowledge of Network technology to us .
AT same time, this post offers a nice reference of the P2P Optical Access
This is a rare sticker that has been rare for a hundred years! Heaven has eyes, let me see such a wonderful post in the eugenic year.
Thank you very much for your sharing. Hope you can update continue like this

If a large number of users need to be aggregated, the P2P Ethernet optical access board works with various downstream devices (such as DSLAM, ONT, SBU and CBU) to implement FTTC / FTTB, FTTH, FTTO, FTTM. The EA5800 with the P2P Ethernet optical access board can connect directly to the access terminal and cascade the DSLAM.

It is the best choice that select Point to point (P2P) Ethernet, it has many advantages like high bandwidth, lower costs, higher reliability, and more flexible scenarios. Thank you for sharing this knowledge and solving my doubts. I hope that you can continue to update such knowledge points. Thank you!
