The Huawei IVS is fully built based on a cloud architecture where software is decoupled from hardware and data is decoupled from applications. It uses a variety of mission-critical technologies such as cloud computing, cloud storage, and big data to build full-stack cloud, all-intelligent, and all-cloud synergy capabilities. The IVS applies to scenarios such as Safe City, traffic surveillance, and campus surveillance.

The IVS3800 uses the ARM platform and in-house chips to ensure system security. The IVS3800 uses the container-based cloud platform and adopts the high-performance, distributed computing and storage framework to provide users with high-density, dynamic, and elastic shared resource pools. The solution supports cross-platform multi-level video management networking and intelligent cross-domain collaboration, and provides unified management and O&M, implementing network-wide one cloud.
