If an ONT transmits optical signals to the upstream in a time that is not assigned to it, it is called ONT continuously. This type of ONT is also known as a corrupted ONT, this is that it transmits signals at any time. When there is a corrupt ONT,
· If the corrupted ONT is online, one or all other ONTs connected to the same PON port on the OLT will be offline or go online and disconnect frequently.
· If the corrupted ONT is not configured, the other ONTs that are not configured cannot be discovered automatically.
Enable detection of corrupted ONTs on the OLT. A corrupted ONT can be isolated after being detected.
