A building is to be equipped with WLAN. The aim is to have sufficient WiFi availability in every room.

The company has 12 offices spread over 2 floors. Two conference rooms and a waiting area are on the ground floor.

A GUEST WLAN with simple password protection is to be installed in the conference rooms and in the waiting area. Otherwise, the company WLAN should only be available for devices that authenticate themselves. Notebooks and Android smartphones are permitted. The use of iPhones in corporate WLAN is prohibited.

You do not know the current network structure.

with Regards

Hi,

In this case, first of all you'll need a WLAN planner tool (https://support.huawei.com/enterprise/en/tool/wlan-planner-TL1000000028) to properly map all the APs in simulation to cover all the area in a blanket coverage manner.
For password security option, Huawei WLC has a built-in guest/BYOD portal, you can use that.
For prohibiting iphones, you can use WLC's device management feature and can stop iphones to connect to the WiFi networks. For configuration guide, please use the following guideline:

https://support.huawei.com/enterprise/en/wlan/ac6508-pid-23144741?category=configuration-commissioning&subcategory=configuration-guide

To properly size the number of APs, WLAN Planner tool is a must. Secondly, you'll need WLC to manage all APs, thirdly, POE switches and a aggregation/core switch where all of these will connect.

I hope it is helpful. If you have any other specific question, please do share and will try to answer it

Based on the information you provided, I think AC6005 could meet your requirement.

To prevent the iPhone devices from using the network, I think you can use terminal identification to find out these devices, and block them in the STA blacklist.

please check Terminal Identification and STA blacklist

Hi,
That's why I recommended WLAN planner tool as with this tool, you can get exact number of APs as per your requirement. Generally speaking, I recommend 7052 APs and 6605 WLCs because of their high performance and price range.
To control iPhones, please disabled iPhone in terminal identification. Here is a general configuration guideline
