Hi,
Some guys are not familiar with the PBX configuration on the AR router, in this post ,we are going to introduce you how we need to configure AR as PBX function.
Before configuring the PBX, verify the hardware deployment and loaded license. In addition, the plan required data for subsequent configuration tasks.
1. Verify hardware deployment
Ensure that the following requirements are met:
Cards and cables for voice services are available.
For example, equipped with FXS ports and FXS cables for the applicable device model are required to support POTS user access.
Cables are properly routed and connected.
Cards are installed and powered on.
2. Verify the loaded license.
Run the display license command to query the license information. Verify that the voice license file has been activated and that the configuration items are the same as those specified duration license applications.
For details about the voice license description and the methods of applying for, loading, and activating a license, see the License Usage Guide.
3. Plan data.
Based on enterprise requirements, data provided by the network carrier, and product conditions, plan the following PBX data:
User numbers and prefixes
Trunk types and interworking parameters
Voice service types and service data
LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
A voice function (such as the PBX, SIP AG, or H.248 AG) is used with a license. To use a voice function, apply for and purchase the following license from the Huawei local office:
AR150&AR160&AR200 series: AR150&AR160&AR200 value-added service package for voice services
AR1200 series: AR1200 value-added service package for voice services
AR2200 series: AR2200 value-added service package for voice services
AR3200 series: AR3200 value-added service package for voice services
If phones of any type are deployed on an AR router, a CM&BEST license must be purchased based on the number of deployed phones.
CM&BEST license-5 phones
CM&BEST license-25 phones
CM&BEST license-100 phones
FEATURE LIMITATIONS:
The following product models support voice functions (such as the PBX, SIP AG, and H.248 AG):
The AR129CV, AR129CVW, AR169CVW, AR169JFVW-4B4S, and AR169CVW-4B4S only support the PBX and SIP AG, but not the H.248 AG.

When an AR2204, AR2220L, or AR2220E router needs to provide voice services, install a DSP module and a voice sub card in the router. When an AR2220, AR2240, or AR3200 router needs to provide voice services, install a DSP module.
To provide voice services to POTS users on the AR1200, AR2200, or AR3200, install the 4FXS1FXO, 16FXS, or 32FXS card. The AR1200 does not support the 32FXS card.
To provide voice services to ISDN phone users on the AR1200, AR2200, or AR3200, install the 2BST card.
