What Commands Can Be Used to Obtain Common OSPF Information?

display ospf abr-asbr
Display information about the routes to OSPF area boarder router (ABR)/Autonomous System Boundary Routers (ASBRs).

Running this command on the a router in a stub area or not-so-stubby area (NSSA) does not display the information about the routes to the ASBR.

display ospf asbr-summary
Displays information about the redistributed routes that are summarized.

If no IP address or mask is specified, information about all summarized redistributed routes will be displayed.

display ospf brief Displays OSPF brief information.

display ospf cumulative
Displays OSPF statistics.

display ospf error
Displays OSPF error information.

display ospf interface
Displays OSPF interface information.

display ospf lsdb
Displays the link state database (LSDB) information. You can display the LSDB information by specifying different parameters, such as brief LSDB information, information about the specified LSA type, information about LSAs originated by the specified router, and information about self-originated LSAs.

display ospf nexthop
Displays OSPF next hop information.

display ospf peer
Displays information about OSPF neighbors.

You can use the output of this command to troubleshoot OSPF faults and check the OSPF neighbor configuration.

The output information also shows whether Graceful Restart (GR) is executed on the neighbor.

display ospf request-queue
Displays information about the OSPF request queue.

The output information of this command helps you with OSPF troubleshooting.

display ospf retrans-queue
Displays retransmission queue information.

display ospf routing
Displays OSPF routing information.

You can display the OSPF routing information advertised via an interface or the OSPF routing information with the specified next hop.
