What can I do if the IDs of a controller enclosure and disk enclosures are incorrect after an initial storage system startup?

Perform either of the following two methods to change the IDs of the controller enclosure and disk enclosures:
  • On the ISM
For the S5000 series V100R001

1.   In the navigation tree, select Physical View.

2.  Select the device of which the enclosure IDs are to be changed.

3.  Select the controller enclosure or disk enclosure of which the ID is to be changed.

Go to the Modify Enclosure ID dialog box as follows:
  • On the menu bar, choose Configuration > Modify Enclosure ID.
  • Click the right mouse button, and choose Modify Enclosure ID.
4.  Change the enclosure ID.

NOTE:
An enclosure ID must be an integer ranging from 0 to 99.
An enclosure ID must be unique.

For the S2600 V100R005C02, S5000 series V100R005CO2, S5500T, S5600T, S5800T, S6800T, S3900, S5900, and S6900
